Improved mobility and functionality in 12 weeks

When you don’t get enough exercise, your under-used muscles gradually shrink (thanks to a phenomenon called sarcopenia that causes muscle loss as we age) and your body fat percentage increases, further slowing your metabolism. We also start to lose the functional ability that keeps us moving reducing mobility. Jim here at 78 came to me using a walking stick and struggled to get up off the floor (5 minutes to be precise) Now he can get up in 4 seconds, no walking stick, climbing stairs with no support, in and out of cars a lot easier and able to move around freely improving all aspects of his life.

What did we change? Strength training has been incorporated in to his life. We are all to quick to neglect our bodies in our younger years and allow the aging process to take over however, it doesn’t have to be this way. You are in control and you can change things. A huge well done to Jim who continues to train with me.
